About the incident, here’s one report which the band totally agree with: here

JUSTICE YELDHAM (AUSTRALIA)
‘What’s been described as “a trumpet player trapped in a two dimensional universe” is in fact the unique audio work of Justice Yeldham, a maverick musician with an unhealthy obsession with sheets of broken glass. By pressing his face and lips against the glass whist employing various vocal techniques ranging from throat singing to raspberries, he turns disguarded household windows into crude musical instruments. Resulting in a wide variety of cacophonous noises that are strangely controlled and oddly musical.’
‘Justice Yeldham is the latest alter-ego of Australian sound performer Lucas Abela, whose past sonic experiments were conducted under monikers like A Kombi, Dj Smallcock & Peeled Hearts Paste. Initially classed as an experimental turntablist, although his early work rarely resembled anything in the field. Early feats, saw him stab vinyl with Kruger style stylus gloves, bound on electro acoustic trampolines, drag race the popemobile across Sydney Harbour Bridge, perform deaf defying duet duels with amplified samurai swords, hospitalised by high powered turntables constructed from sewing machine motors, record chance John Peel sessions with the Flaming Lips, & be Otomo Yoshihides’ favourite entry into his Ground Zero remix competition; ‘Consummation’ even though instead of sampling the CD he destroyed it using amplified skewers! ‘

Pusat Komunikasi Masyarakat (KOMAS) is proud to announce it’s newest
Human Rights Education Video (DVD) -
“Mari Kita Beraktivism-Let’s Be an Activist” for sale now!
Launched on the 16th May 2008, the compilation of short engaging human rights films premiered to a packed gallery in Annexe, Central Market.
The documentary series follows three ordinary yet distinctive personalities whose lives were transformed by their own experiences of human rights violations in “Bestlah Punk”, “Binatang Pun Perlu Tanah” and “No Damn Right”. All films are subtitled in English.
“Very inspirational films. I felt especially emotional when I saw that the indigenous stood up for their ancestral land rights,” commented a viewer, on “Binatang Pun Perlu Tanah”.
“The background music…the stylish editing makes it very appealing to the youth. In “Bestlah Punk”, it’s encouraging to see these youths trying to make an impact in the society they live in.”
“I’m inspired by the courage that Saari Sungib (profiled in “No Damn Right”) and his wife displayed throughout the time when he was an ISA (Internal Security Act) detainee. Touching yet informative.”
Much encouraged by the positive feedback, KOMAS believes that this powerful medium (film) can truly educate and empower its viewers effectively unlike any other medium. Other than raising the public’s awareness on human rights issues in Malaysia, these films act as a springboard to generate meaningful discussions among its viewers. Do refer to the attached flyer for a synopsis of the films.

Directed by Eléonore Merlin & Anna Salzberg (France)
2007, 28 minutes
Synopsis
Aisyah and Oubaïdah, are two Malay women who are seemingly very different from each other, their common bond is that essentially they are both women and both muslim. Aisyah is a young emancipated person who enjoys the hectic lifestyle of Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. Oubaidah, has single handedly raised seven children. She is a delegate of PAS, the Islamic party and living in Kelantan (*then) the only state of Malaysia steered by this political formation.
Both women provide their insights on work, sexuality and their relationships with men. We see in their answers, contradictions that echo and reflect off each other, often raising the burning questions of the challenges, battles for identity and place in a Muslim society in the midst of transition.
